How do I apply for a licensed child care Centre within the City of Ottawa?

You can apply for all licensed centres and homes through the City of Ottawa website found here. The City of Ottawa waitlist (referred to as the registry) is located on their website. You will need to login with your City of Ottawa username and password to begin the registration process for your child.

 

Once you login to your account, you will be prompted to use a third-party website to register your child for a licensed child care spot. You select the top five centres you would like your child to attend, and you will be contacted directly by the Centre if there is an opening for your child. Generally, when a Centre contacts you with  a spot for your child, you will have 48 hours to either accept or decline the spot.

 

It is important to note that if you applied for a child care spot before your child was born, you will need to login to your City of Ottawa account to update the information (name, date of birth).
